As I said at the end of last week, we are in full-on basketball mode. That means a very busy week here as the 2009-10 season begins in earnest.
I wanted to pass along a schedule of what you can expect this week:
MONDAY
• Conference breakdowns begin with Conference 1. This will include preseason all-conference teams, league favorites and darkhorses.
• Conference 2 breakdown.
TUESDAY
• Conference 3 breakdown.
• Conference 4 breakdown.
WEDNESDAY
• This year’s Super 7 is revealed, one per hour, beginning at 9 a.m.
• I’ll take a look at what each of the new coaches in Section 1 can expect
THURSDAY
• This year’s basketball preview runs in the paper and online. I have a few thoughts on what you can read.
• It will include my County Center predictions in each class, as well as who I think will take home the gold balls.
• And I will outline the team I think has the best chance to win a state title.
FRIDAY
• In the morning, the season’s first Top 10.
• A look at the December tournament schedule…and a few thoughts on why it’s more important this season than in years past.

This year’s dark horse surprise will be the Byram Hills Bobcats Girls Basketball team. Watch out for them.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE GIRLS
Good luck to all teams …except the ones we play lol J/K … lets all hope for a injury free season for everyone
Josh,
It is a joy to read your posts – the planning that goes into your articles and the excellent details you take the time to add. I wish all varsity sports had this level of detail in their blogs (Soccer, anyway). Thanks for making The Sixth Man blog the place to go for up-to-date info during the B-ball season. Keep up the great work.
Josh, all your hard work is really appreciated.
