The Empire State Games are back for 2010 and various sports are starting to line up their tryout schedules.
All players who wish to try out for the ESGs must now register online at: http://www.empirestategames.org/summer/tryouts/register.asp. There is a $10 registration fee, and registration begins tomorrow, April 6.
Tryouts for the woman’s scholastic basketball team will be held May 3rd, 5th and 10th at Ossining High School from 7-9 p.m. All players must have registered prior to attending a tryout.
The coach, Dan Ricci, said it is recommended that a player attend all three tryouts but it is not required.

is this no one or no body I know it must be no clue < I have not seen you for a while I hope all is good with you, just open your eyes no one is talking about any kid and or coach other than the one who does all the talking who can not win a HS game,he bashes your kid too the players he bashes the most are the players on his AAU team so do not think your safe from the BS. Despite all the blog talk, the Freshman Lady Knick team is better than last year. The team finally plays as a true team, a unit. The team has played good tournaments and have won every game by at least 20 points against solid teams. Fioretti has done a good job so far. The few girls who left from last year have their own personal reasons for leaving and I hope it was in the best interest of those girls. But they have been replaced by talent and many of them already want to come back to the Lady Knicks. Hopefully every girl will have a great AAU experience, whether you play for the Knicks, Westechester Hoopers or Future Stars. In the end, it is about the kids not the parents or the coaches.

That is terrific and as it should be. AAU is voluntary so the girls should be happy whereever they are. There are plenty of teams and plenty of choices. For most, the game will end when then are 17 and for some it will end when they are 21. It is a short time and they should get the most out of it. The Freshman Girls at Lady Knicks are doing great. The Girls at Hoopers and Future Stars are doing great. So lets leave it at that. Maybe all the teams will play each other at some point.
