Nyack gives Woodlands its first loss, and other Wednesday results

Score of the day—Nyack 55, Woodlands 39: In the championship game of the North Rockland Christmas tournament, Rachel McNair had 33 points and 11 rebounds to help the Indians hand Woodlands its first loss of the season. Taryn Brady scored 10 points. Shanice Perry scored 14 points for the Falcons.

Player of the day—Brittany Horne, Carmel. What a tournament for Horne. For the second straight day she came up big, and both times it was historical. A day after scoring her 1,000th point against Mahopac, the Georgetown-bound senior grabbed her 1,000th rebound in the third quarter tonight. She finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds.

Carmel 60, New Rochelle 44: In the championship of the Ronnie Weaver Memorial tournament at Carmel, Brittany Horne had 23 points and 14 rebounds and Nikki Oliver had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Briana Rhett and Misha Green each had 13 points for the Huguenots.

Lakeland 34, Putnam Valley 31: In the championship game of the Yorktown Holiday tournament, Sara Oakes had 10 points and was named tournament MVP. Courtney Stokes added eight points and made the all-tournament team. Carey Berry had nine points for the Tigers.

Pelham 46, Yorktown 41: In the consolation game of the Yorktown Holiday tournament, Kelly Keith had 13 points for the Pelicans. Jen Kelsey had nine points for the ‘Huskers. Samantha Corrado added 13 rebounds and was named to the all-tournament team.

North Rockland 43, Newburgh Free Academy 39: In the consolation game of the North Rockland tournament, Fiona Pierre had 11 points and Deanna Jones had eight points. Mackenzie Conklin added seven points.

Livingston Manor 45, Nanuet 42: In the consolation game of the Warwick Holiday tournament, Theresa Jelalian hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points for the Golden Knights. The sophomore guard was named to the all-tournament team.

Brewster 52, Mahopac 34: In the consolation of the Ronnie Weaver Memorial tournament at Carmel, Lauren Quattrocchi led all scorers with 15 points for the Bears. Marisa Delzio added 13 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Mairead Hynes had 14 points for the Indians.

Albertus Magnus 69, Lourdes 41: In the championship game of the Albertus Magnus tournament, Tournament MVP Felicia DaCruz had 11 points and four assists for the Falcons. All-tournament team member Maeve Parahaus scored 14 points. Katelyn Spicer scored 13 points. All-tournament team member Meghan Richards had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Burke Catholic 50, Maria Regina 42: In the consolation game of the Albertus Magnus tournament, Jen Forlini scored 13 points the Tigers. Lisa Mendez scored 12 points.
