What to watch: The first-time sectional, regional and state-champion Red Devils received a semifinal bye as the NYSPHSAA representative. Wings Academy (25-2) and Archbishop Molloy (16-13) play at 1:30 p.m. today at the Times Union Center for the right to face them. Whichever team ends up being the opponent, it may not enjoy the view of Peekskill playing defense. The Red Devils held Grand Island to 34 points in the state semis and Averill Park to 35 points in the final. Wings Academy defeated Curtis 46-43 to claim its first PSAL title thanks to a tiebreaking 3 with 2.3 seconds left by New Haven-bound guard Aquillin Hayes, who finished with 24 points. The team has another senior standout headed for New Haven in 6-2 forward/center Rykema Stone. Molloy has a team that’s on the young side and is led by guard Amani Tatum and forward Carolyn Gallagher, both sophomores. Peekskill is led statistically by Jackson (14.7 ppg.), Garcia (14.5 ppg., 8 rpg.) and Nolan (9 rpg.).
