Congrats to Blind Brook. Can’t wait to see the Dobbs Ferry-Blind Brook match up in the county center should be a great one! I left in 3rd qtr. when they only had a 3 point lead to get to a 6:00 boys game. Heard in the Blind Brook stands that Croton-Harmon was missing 2 starters? Bizarre.

This will be a great game. Dobbs and Blind Brook. Good luck to both teams. Certainly the game will be more interesting and competative then the finals. I hope Dobbs does not follow Croton and Bronxville and do a box and one or triangle and two to attempt to stop Silfen or Saliba and Silfen. Has not worked Will not work. Slows down game. Makes game boring. But others can score on Blind Brook. Play them man to man. No junk defense. By the way, enough of Irvington. People are tired of talking about Irvington. Let Dobbs Blind Brook and Kennedy have their day. These girls work hard. Their coaches work hard. Give them the credit they all diserve. No more Irvington talk.

#13 Comment By Another Class B Fan On February 23, 2012 @ 3:10 pm

Amen to that!!!!!

#14 Comment By Hooper On February 23, 2012 @ 4:56 pm

Irvington. Gold ball….....so much for no more irvington talk…blind. Brook you have no chance…..

#15 Comment By B Ball Fan On February 23, 2012 @ 6:10 pm

Hooper, Blah Blah Blah. By the way, what does Dobbs Blind Brook and Kennedy have in common. Yeah, no recruits or transfers. What does Irvington Ossining and Hamilton have in common. Transfers. So Hoopers give the girls of Dobbs Blind Brook and Kennedy their credit and applaud these girls. These programs were built by their coaches and not with outsiders.

“Unless of course they recruit players from other districts again LOL”
Any somewhat intelligent person would know that public schools are never allowed to recruit so the only thing that you’ve done by making such an accusation is make yourself look like an idiot. Think about it- if you were a talented basketball player and you had the choice to move to a school with a better basketball program, I think you’d go for it. Don’t hate the kid for moving on to a better program. Not to mention that she may have even wanted to get away from the disgusting JAP girls that infest Edgemont…but thats another story…
So no matter how much crap you talk about Irvington, they will still leave you in the dust by 20+ points. So enjoy that ;)

Why can’t we all just get along.

#21 Comment By Cmon People On February 24, 2012 @ 8:30 am

Hooper is getting all you guys fired up and is not even from Irvington. Dont’ you people know how this blog works by now.

#22 Comment By Shocked Fan On February 24, 2012 @ 10:18 am

Hooper, if Blind Brook plays the way they can and should, they will beat Dobbs and give Irvington a game. But Blind Brook is the underdog and it is hit and miss with them. No consistency. But the point of others is Dobbs and Blind Brook did this with their own kids. No transfers. Maybe the answer is Irvington Ossining and Hamilton should be in their own section and have their own tournament. This is about high school basketball and education, not creating dynasties through player movement.

#23 Comment By Fan On February 24, 2012 @ 11:58 am

Shocked fan, let’s be honest if you could you have your kid on a team like that. The fact of the matter is your not so stop hating on these kids, they all work very hard to get where they are now.So don’t be so shocked,it’s all about hard work. The shame about this whole conversation
Is a parent who has to make up excuses to there kid why they may not win a certain game.”The truth will get you further than you will believe”Amen

Dobbs by 13 or 18

#25 Comment By umm hmmm On February 24, 2012 @ 6:34 pm

Dobbs by 13 or 18 ?? When in 2014?? Dobbs can not shoot the ball. They will be DESTROYED by Blind Brook in the paint! No Joke, a 15-20 point win!!!

#26 Comment By Outrageous On February 24, 2012 @ 7:15 pm

Dear “Haters Keep Hating”: Great name—and very classy of you to put down another town’s “disgusting” girls based on their That’s right, Haters, the term JAP includes a reference to being Jewish. And you even use the word “infested,” which is really sick. You may think this is okay because you are defending a player you know (ya think?)—but it’s not. Antisemitism, in any form, is really, really ugly – as is your hateful comment.

#27 Comment By County Center On February 24, 2012 @ 9:50 pm

@shocked fan.. Looking at Irvington,Hamilton, ossining, with no disrespect to your team(blind brook)but I have to say with there starters out they will still win by double digits.Enjoy your run at the county center your team has earn it.Good luck! By the way,if you had remain as a C not a B Hamilton would of been in your way.Go Hamilton you deserve it all!

Haters Keep Hating…. if you think I made myself look like an idiot…..your post is so pathetically racial if I were you I would crawl under a rock and hide!!!

#29 Comment By Comedy Central On February 25, 2012 @ 2:49 pm

Found a rock to hide under but your family already claim it.LoL

#30 Comment By Ignorance On February 25, 2012 @ 4:36 pm

Dear Haters Keep Hating, Even though I imagine that you are an insecure, uneducated parent, referring to anyone’s race, ethincity or religion on here is NOT OK. And adding words like “disgusting” and “infested” to describe our daughters tell us all we need to know about you. Can only imagine the example you set for your kids. Noone wants to hear “another story,” because it will just expose your low class and inner prejudice and—- um frankly, your jealousy. So enjoy that ;) or maybe you should just apologize for a truly disgusting post.
