With the federation tournament just a couple of days away, here’s something that Yaron and I have been debating over the last couple of days and we wanted our loyal blog readers to weigh-in on this topic.
Which do you hold of more importance: Winning the state championship or going the full distance and winning the federation title? In other words, after a team wins states to reach federations, would a loss take anything away from their season?

There is nothing like being the top dog in the state. Its hard to get back up for another final four after the state championship but when its all said and done, no one claim to be better than you in all of New York State.
Also, you don’t want to end a remarkable year on a loss. Be the last team standing and remain undefeated in all playoff games.
Yes, it would take away something.i say keep it….you want to be the best you have to beat the best.
This may be a moot point in 2 years when they may cancel all state tournaments.
The FINAL FOUR is GREAT for HS BBALL !!!! KEEP IT !
