The Girls Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Team will hold tryouts on Tuesday, June 12 at Ossining High School from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Any girl who played in Section 1 this past season and is eligible to play High School Basketball this winter is eligible to try out for the team.

Yes Mclauglin from TZ plays for Reilly and his aau team and is the one picked for BCANY hmmmm..I thought Castaldo was trying out too. Castaldo and Parahus are the 2 best returning forwards in Rockland for 2012-13

Where are girls going during the viewing period? What teams are going where? JR’s team has a few Rockland girls on it what’s there schedule like?? Cleary’s Hornets team is going where? Do the Rockets have a 10 th or 11 th grade team. Where they going. Little bit out of the loop just wondering
On another note high school summer leagues are going on..have to ref a few games at Orangetown summer league and have only seen 3 rockland teams listed + 3 jersey teams for a league that was mainly rockland teams(this year Pr,suff,nanuet). Where are the other ockland teams playing this summer

No teams any where for the Clarkstown teams. AM plays in Jersey and they usually have a JV team in the Dominican league.

Rock Hoops – Games are played at Old Tappan High, Pascack Valley High and sometimes IHA. Monday and Wednesday nights.
I heard the Ossining Breeze went 5-1 down in PA last weekend in the Platinum bracket of Blue Chip. Not too shabby.
Heard they went 4-2 and JR team went 3-3

Stop the hype. Lost in pool play to Jersey Cardinals in second round of Platinum (one loss). Lost in Finals Bracket 1 to Erie Saints (two losses) and finished in 14th place out of 16 teams in Finals Barcket 1. Its all posted on Bluechip sight. what a bs artist

How was the blue chip in it’s new format? ( in years past the tournament took place at Penn State ..was nice and convienant ..recent NCAA ruling that no aau showcase tournaments can take place on Div 1 campuses) ...were sites close or all over the place..1 st year in last 5 I didn’t go

I’m curious what school Saniya will pick? I guess we will know soon. Some of the blogs mentioned she narrowed down her schools the the following UConn, Maryland, Miami, Louisville, Ohio UNC.
Most players at the D1 level I have met LOVE the game. The ones I’m confused by are the player or parent that want the child in the biggest NAME basketball school, and that was the major consideration. While its obvious that they may sit the bench the majority of the 4 year basketball career. I don’t feel this is the case with Saniya after meeting her a few times and seeing her play a lot. I don’t think it’s about her being the star or picking the biggest name (but with her talent all names are big). I think she will play, and do well at any of the schools mentioned in the blogs. Good luck to her and the other players that have committed at any level.

Martins is a great player so the negative comments are unnecessary.
As an aside I wonder and does anyone know how the other junior all state section 1 players did in the tournament Pilla, Celaj, Silfen, Hood and Robinson.
Although i did not attend, my spouse did and stated that robinson was outstanding. The stands were full with D1 coaches and scouts and Saniya, Destiny and team did not disappoint

I heard the Walker girl is moving to Jersey due some personal problems at home , I wonder how cheating Ricci is going to try and hide this one.
I heard that Niki Caldwell flew John Reilly down to LSU all expenses paid to help her run a summer practice and run some quick hitters. That guy is amazing

The most important thing to remember is that the PLAYERS earn the scholarships, not some loud-mouth, full-of-himself coach/trainer.

Girls are 3-0. Started slow in each of the three games. They trailed every team by atleast double digits only to come storming out in the second half. If they play a complete game no team will be able to contend!!!! Oh and our girls also won the 3 point contest. Congrats to Kristen Mcloughlin and Adrea Espinoza for winning the 3 point contest for HUDSON VALLEY!!!!
