In case you missed it, my colleague James Carlucci wrote a story in today’s paper on Saniya Chong and her dominating performance at the Blue Chip USA Invitational at York, Pa., which took place this past weekend.
Chong averaged 40 points per game against some top competition, as her Hudson River Breeze team, which is composed of girls from the Ossining High School varsity team and led by Ossining coach Dan Ricci, finished 5-1 in the tournament.
Chong has also narrowed her college choices down to four schools, including: UConn, Maryland, Ohio State, and Louisville.
You can read the story here.

I am sickened that this blog has come to this, we are supposed to be writing about girls basketball. How could some loser who calls himself RicicTicciTock get away with what he wrote on 8/5 @ 9:09pm. This very inappropriate behavior should not be tolerated and I am appalled that this newspaper would allow such filth on here. I am a basketball fan having raised two daughters who played the sport through high school, in addition to being a mom I am also a wife, a licensed professional nurse and taxpayer in this community. And to this Stanner grad person who loves to write about a certain coaches behavior I have a queston for you, how do you feel about the disgusting behavior of RicciTicci
Tock?
Wow… Seems like I havent missed anything huh LOL!!!!!!!! This blog is nothing like the long Island blog but its getting close.. RTT that was out of bounds, cant defend that at all.. Great Job Hudson Valley for bringing home the Gold.. There are some future collegiate athletes on that team who will excell in college athletically and academically.. Congrats
@Coach Luck that was nicely said!! This blog should have been about how OUR girls fought hard and played with tremendous heart. None of the games were easy and we trailed in every single game. These girls battled every step of the way. I was proud of every girl on that team. Oh and lets not forget the boys, Congrats to them too!!!!
Stop the insanity and remember its the girls who are working hard and not you insane parents behind a screen! Cowards! Put your real name next to your comments and quotes so we know who you are and I bet the negative comments will stop!
bballban3, I think Ricci Ticci’s comment was vulgar and inappropriate. Just to be fair do you think anyone else routinely makes inappropriate and insulting comments?
Stanner, stop being cute. Seriously, if you have point make it. RTT was out of line. What others have done is not a defense.
Not defending or being cute. Just responding to the question I was asked. Agree that RTT was way over the top.
