AM is doing a lot of talking about a Gold Ball. Not sure they are that good.
Saw albertus and wow not impressed at all, also did not like the coaching pearl river will beat them by 30..down year for them
Am is down, Ryan Doherty is doing a nice job filling in but the team really is missing their spark-Kelly guarino who was the driving force..she was tenacious on defense, and ran a great point..besides Parahus,Doherty they have a young McGrath who will be good but not like the 5 or 6 deep studs they have had in past years
I think AM will be better next year, as long as Kelly returns. They will have a more balanced scoring attack then they do now. They need some size upfront next year .
I don’t agree they will be better next year. They do lose 1. Or. 2 This year to geaduation
Nr keeps scoring and winning!!!Rivera and Burden once again are the anchors behind this juggernaut both netting 17 points apiece! There 2 have a bright future and will take North Rockland far
Oh sorry Nr beat new burgh free academy 70-67. Got a little caught up and forgot to post the score
Kelly is a very good PG. She has the best overall skills (scoring, D, handling) on the team, and that’s saying a lot since MP is very good
You guys are killing one the greatest things on this blog(spontaneous comments) about games/updates..I understand you guys trying to reign in the crazies but waiting for the comment to be posted is kind of lame..did you guys talk to Josh Thompson ( varsity insider)or Mike Doughtry( hockey blog) about there handling of rude or inappropriate comments..it( your moderation) is a step in the right direction but could be tweaked IMO ..please post this as at the game tonite I was talking to 6 different fans of the blogs who mentioned the same..keep the good work going- let’s just try and find a middle common ground
I think AM will better because of a more balanced scoring attack. Games I have seen, players stand around and watch MP.
That is if she is the same(Kelly G) when she comes back from her second major injury on that leg.I hope and wish she does as I enjoy watching her play. Albertus will always be competitive they just a bit down this year and being just a little down can be deadly when facing TZ,PR and trying to get back to the county center
Prediction for North Rocklands league games coming up
NR vs Cl.North (win 72-40)
Nr vs ERSD ( win 72- 35)
NR vs Suffern ( win 75-25)
NR vs Cl.South ( toss up! 60-58. Will be a good game.. If south has someone contribute besides Castaldo/haugh/Downey they will come out on top). Watching assigning right now. Chong is a treat to watch( just could use a little less of Riccis mannerisms ( good coach just a bit dramatic))
Ok question here…girl on North Rockland has been wearing a face mask for like 4 years?does she break a bone in her face or nose all the time or is it a crutch?? Spoke to 3 kids, parents I know who have had nose issues and they say once healed they take it off..maybe Coach Metcalf could respond as he reads the blog( and even posts)
@Holla – Call me at NRHS next week and I’ll be happy to answer your question
In response to your question about NR girl who wears a mask, it is due to two previous nose breaks. It just a precautionary measure…
@maberto…thanks..will call Coach Metcalf next week like he suggested…was just wondering as I had worked a few games over the summer and saw her w/ the face mask and spoke to my buds who’s daughter has broken her nose 4 times and doesn’t wear a mask..just wondering..anyone have any questions they want me to ask of Coach Metcalf?
