After missing some time with a slight back injury, Byram Hills’ Lucy Bancone returned to the lineup Thursday in a 44-40 upset over Valhalla. The Bobcats (4-10) were forced to play without her in Wednesday’s 58-45 loss to Rye, in a game-time decision by doctors.
”(The doctors) weren’t sure if she could play yesterday … it was up in the air,” Bobcats coach Mary Kate Burke said. Burke also joked about the 24-hour rest making a big difference in Bancone’s return.

Jumping ahead of myself a bit but was wondering if you could possibly post your projected seedings for the B division. Getting very excited as I think it is a very even division with a lot of teams that have a shot to win it!!! Can’t wait!
Very even except for Irvington. Nobody beats them in class b.
John, I agree. Class B is tighter and more competitive then anyone expected. Anything can happen. Irvington, Kennedy, Pleasantville and Blind Brook are all solid teams. All have a chance. You also have Dobbs, Ardsley and Briarcliff. Would make a great article.

Class A is probably the only class that is open. It would be an absolute shock if Ossining, Hamilton, and Irvington did not win. They are probably favorites right now to win the states. What have you seen that makes you think that any of those teams can compete with Irvington?
Those other teams in B have no chance. Class B is tight once you get beyond Irvington. Here is how I would handicap class B—- all will depend upon how the brackets line up (someone could make county center if they get a good draw).

Cuse Response, good call. I like Irvington, Blind Brook, Kennedy and Ardsley in final four. Irvington is the best team, by far. But I think Blind Brook can give Irvington a game, if they are on.
