Hamilton senior Maia Hood had 30 points and nine rebounds in 69-62 win at Hamilton, putting her now eight rebounds shy of 1,000 for her varsity tenure.
Hood, who has scored over 1,200 points with the Red Raiders, will look to join the 1,000-1,000 club at Harrison on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
The Red Raiders got plenty of help from their “big three” in Hood, Jasmine Robinson, and Tiffany Corselli, as the three combined for 61 of Hamilton’s 69 points for the game, almost outscoring Horace Greeley’s entire roster.
Robinson had 16 points, while Tiffany Corselli added 15 points and eight assists. Corselli (pictured right) received a belated honor at halftime for her 1,000th varsity point, which she scored on Jan. 12 at John Jay. Corselli, a Sacred Heart transfer, scored 903 points before coming to Hamilton. With her 15 points from tonight, she now has 1,227 points for her high school career. Sam Srinivasan scored 17 points for the Quakers. Lauren Brown added 16 points.
