Ardsley coach should take the blame yet again for another failed no show at the County Center.
Congrats AMHS!
Folks, this may not be the year for Irvington and everyone should enjoy the rise of Kennedy and Blind Brook. Kennedy and Blind Brook are playing strong and are hot right now and either team may be too much for Irvington. At the end of the day, Kennedy and Irvington are hungry and fans have to love the underdogs. A gold ball may belong to a new team in Class B this year and you know something, it is well disserved and a great story.
sorry… Irvington will beat either of those teams by more than 10 points. Supporting cast on Irvington is much better than people give credit for. It will be difficult for either team to score inside on Irvington.
@Class B Fan – It’s the final four – not three!
sorry class b fan, one can say the same about blind brook – Ready and Brettschneider can score and certainly play great defense and how is Irvington going to stop the three — Silfen, Lavitt and Saliba. One can not underestimate hunger and chemistry. Your use of the phrase “supporting cast” says it all, it is a two girl show with no team chemsitry and that will not be enough. As far as Kennedy, Irvington will not be able to control the bigs and team is playing real well. Another class b fan, sorry, I do not think Dobbs has enough but they certainly play their hearts out and hard so Dobbs, good luck.
Nanuet has to be the biggest disappointment of the year. Talent wise they have an excellent team but once again they are completely out coached. The Pelham coach did a great job with his team and should be commended. He made the adjustments he needed at half and found a way to beat in my opinion a better team. Good luck to Pelham and Nanuet a change is needed.
Class B Fan are you totally out of your mind?? Do you honestly think that Blind Brook or even Kennedy will have a chance against Irvington?? Its understandable to want to root for your team but lets not get delusional. Irvington will hands down CRUSH Kennedy or Blind Brook. There are NO two players in Class B that can come close to the level of play of B. Lai and L. Martins.
Sorry class B fan but those teams do not stand a chance unless Lai and Martins are out for whatever reason. Irv goldball again
Trojan Man,
Did you imply Irvington is a 2 girl team? If so, they’re far from it and you haven’t paid much attention to them.
Trojan Fan, you are sadly mistaken if you think Blind Brook or Kennedy can beat Irvington. They may be good teams but dont have a shot. Irvington has a balanced team that is well coached, plays great defense and can get points from anyone on the floor at any time. Sure there are 2 super superstars on the team but how do you think they have won 3 STRAIGHT state championships? They get solid contributions from the other players.
Blind Brook has a chance and Coach Martinez will get them prepared and have a game plan. Coach Martinez has been in the Country Center ten times. Assuming Blind Brook gets past Kennedy, and I will put it on the line here, Blind Brook by six. Irvington will not have an answer for Silfen Lavitt and Saliba and the other starters are far better then Irvington’s role players—edge to OB and SR on Blind Brook. Blind Brook, and especially Silfen and Saliba, love and excel at the Country Center, Silfen has been on the top all year and Lavitt and Saliba are playing the best basketball of their careers so I give them a chance. I put it on print right here.
@ Trojan Man. Sounds like a good plan Mr Silfen.
Trojan fan love your enthusiasm, but Lai and Martins are on a totally different LEVEL!!!! The supporting cast on Irvington is just as good as your starting five at Blind Brook. You have no one on Blind Brook or Kennedy that can handle Lai and Martins. Be realistic eventhough I know it hurts lol
As far as coaching goes You could have Geno Auriema coaching your girls your still not going to come close.
Ossining – Irvington are HEAD and SHOULDERS above the rest!!
