With league play in full swing, there are some really nice games out there.
The top one, in my mind, is Sleepy Hollow-Pelham; a rematch of last year’s Section 1 Class A first round game in which No. 15 Pelham bumped No. 2 Sleepy Hollow out in the biggest upset of the tournament. With most of the girls back on each squad, and a league title up for grabs, this promises to be a really good one.
I have bowling tonight at 9 p.m. and I’d really rather not travel to Westchester when I know I have to come back. There’s no Rockland games on the schedule, so I’ll probably just literally take the day off. I think the plumber is coming at some point today, so since I need to babysit him, I’ll try and put up game notes from Monday’s Dobbs Ferry-Clarkstown South game.
The new state rankings come out at some point today, as well, so I’ll post those up when the NYSSWA releases them. Something tells me Somers will be making a debut this week (in more rankings than one)… stay tuned!
