Well, it’s a nice change of pace to not be up in the middle of the night writing this, that’s for sure.
My colleague Nancy Haggerty will be covering Westlake-Blind Brook today, so be sure to give her a follow at @HaggertyNancy. I’m the office, but I’ll ask my editors to stop by Horace Greeley-Rye beforehand. I have to see the Quakers in action, the Garnets have been torrid hot, and this definitely promises to be a good one.
Yonkers Montessori is kicking off its inaugural Kalie Gill Memorial tournament today, an event started by Eagles head coach Carlos Martinez to raise money for the family of the 15-year-old, who passed away in October after injuries sustained from a car accident. It’s a wonderful event, so if you’re in the area, make a pit stop.
UPDATE: I don’t know how I missed this while writing last night, but Ossining junior Jalay Knowles is expected to score her 1,000th career point tonight when the Pride host Harrison. The forward sits 11 points shy of the milestone.
