Exciting news, all. This Wednesday, we will be hosting our first live chat of the season. With the seeds coming out Tuesday night and playoffs beginning on Thursday, this will be the perfect opportunity to talk hoops.
WHAT IS IT? A live chat is like a giant group chat, only you — the bloggers — send in questions to me about the season, the playoffs, or anything else sports related, and I answer them for you. I’m assuming 90 percent of the chat will be discussing the section tournament, and I’m assuming 75 percent of the playoff talk will be about Class AA and Class A.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? Just come to the blog like you normally do and click on the post. You’ll be able to submit questions, which will go into a queue (a list, for you non-tech folk) on my end and I’ll post them then answer them. It’s very simple, and, in my experience, fun.
HOW LONG IS IT? I want to run it about two hours, but it will also depend on traffic. If things are slow, I may call it after an hour or so. I don’t want it going longer than two hours, so I will periodically give updates on when I’m calling it a night. The chat will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. I figured two hours is a decent window for people to either chat or arrive late if they can’t make it on time.
Here’s an example of a live game chat. Our chat will be the same format, only we’ll be talking everything in the section, not providing game updates, obviously.
If you have any questions, post a comment. I’ll be happy to answer if one of your fellow bloggers doesn’t already help you out beforehand.
